New Game Mechanics / Features[]

Metal Max 2: Reloaded utilizes the same game engine used in Metal Max 3, from the spritework to the background designs. It is the first game in the series to allow initial, yet permanent, customization to the protagonist's appearance and class. Adding to the convenience of battle, this game returns the "Protect" and "Guard" battle commands from the earlier entries, as well as introduce the ability for multiple party members to ride a vehicle; such as a minimum of one rider for bikes, two riders for cars, and up to four riders per tanks. New vehicles introduced in this series include two bikes, and a bike tank.

Nukka's bar returns in Metal Max 2: Reloaded as a location to recruit or shelter additional human party members, as well as dogs obtained throughout the adventures in the wasteland. This game introduces the "Doggy Tanks" Arcade minigame, similar to the "Crossfire" Arcade Minigame in Metal Saga, as an alternate means of earning extra Gs, the currency used in all of the Metal Max series.
